Depending upon faculty, the requirements would usually be five days a week- Monday to Friday around 5 hours a day.
 Exchange students work under the same conditions as Bulgarian students, and must obey all the regulations of the hospital and directions of the assigned doctor. If the exchange student does not, he/she will be excluded from the clerkship. We expect the exchange student to participate seriously and actively at the department.

All clinical fields except psychiatry
Basically almost all clinical/surgery fields available.
Sometimes, it is possible to have a part of the clerkship in a different field (e.g. 2 weeks in surgery and 2 weeks in internal medicine or others). Mention in your application form if u want to do this.
We will try  to provide what is requested.

All year around, except June and January because we have exams
The main season is / Available mostly  in July, August, September - other months are also possible

At the EOM
(1) Copy of insurance
(2) Language certificate
(3) 3 passport size photos
(4) Letters of motivation and recommendation
(5) Curriculum vitae in English

Health Insurance required
Malpractice (liability)  insurance not required

To bilateral agreements, we guarantee free board and lodging (usually 2 meals per day are provided). Lodging will be provided at rooms in the Students' hostel or in the hospital area.
Unilaterals have to pay 150 EURO

The most important person is a contact person who takes care of students for most of the time

Description
· in-city socials: go around and enjoy!
· weekend socials: traveling to other places of interest in Bulgaria

Usually social program will be arranged in 3 of the 4 weekends of summer months (July and August). We normally do weekend trips to Varna - on the coast of the black sea, ..to the mountains and ...  other parts of Bulgaria . -It's great fun

EU - members don't need a visa.

Please inform us in advance if you require a visa for Bulgaria: we need able time to send all needed papers to make an easier process.

Guidelines for motivation letter: start by introducing yourself formally, tell about your medical education (how the system is organized, which subjects are included), your interests in Medicine, any special interest in the chosen field, about your previous experience in that or others , why you want to do a clerkship in Bulgaria, if you have any practical experience, what you would like to learn and to do during your clerkship;

The students must have an e-mail account, so we can easily communicate with them, otherwise it is almost impossible to get in touch
